Partner with us to expand your reach, impact more people, and make a bigger impact.

La Fonda Foundation connects restaurant and hotel workers with tailored support to navigate financial challenges, pursue education, and build more secure futures for themselves and their families.

Our approach brings together key partners to create a network of impact, including:

  • Families: Access to financial emergency grants,  services to learn English,  skill building  to create long term financial security, and more.

  • Employers in the Hospitality Industry: Link employees to vital programs to reduce attrition and increase worker satisfaction.

  • Nonprofits: Deliver education, training, and resources.

  • Donors: Provide the funding that makes it all possible.

Nonprofit Partnership Highlights

Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe

La Fonda Foundation understands and appreciates the hard work and dedication that Literacy Volunteers and Ron Martinez put into hourly wage earners to help them strengthen their English skills. With this in mind, Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe was invited to apply to La Fonda Foundation’s Upward Economic Mobility Grant and awarded $10,000 to continue supporting their efforts as they see fit.

SFCC Creative Coding Initiative

Since June 2024, the Santa Fe Creative Coding Initiative (SFCCI) has partnered with the La Fonda Foundation to lead a dynamic community collaboration.

With support from Santa Fe Public Schools' Work-Based Learning program and Apple's Community Education Initiative, this partnership provides high school students in Santa Fe with hands-on learning opportunities in digital creativity and coding.

The paid internship program launched in the summer of 2024, bringing together high school students to develop an app that catalogs and showcases La Fonda on the Plaza's extensive art collection, which includes 1,200 pieces. The initial cohort of interns, most of whom had little to no coding experience, gained valuable technical skills and began building the app. In its third semester, students are finalizing and preparing the project for submission to the Apple App Store for public release.

To celebrate this milestone, the La Fonda Foundation, in partnership with La Fonda on the Plaza, plans to host an app launch event in spring 2025 to highlight the students' achievements and showcase the app to the community.

This internship has allowed students to develop technology-based skills they may not have otherwise explored. The challenge-based learning approach has also encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and hands-on experience in tackling real-world challenges while acquiring a valuable new skill set.
