Meet Marisol, Armando, and their family
Behind every statistic is a family whose life has been transformed.
Meet Marisol and Armando: For years, they struggled to achieve financial stability, working full-time but living paycheck to paycheck. With help from our Family Services Cohort, they navigated the path to homeownership, gaining the skills and resources to achieve long-term economic security.
When they learned about La Fonda Foundation, everything changed. Marisol joined the Family Services Cohort, a program designed to help families like hers achieve economic security. Over eight months, they received:
Bilingual Financial Literacy Training: Learning to budget, save, and build credit with the help of trusted partners like Guadalupe Credit Union.
Homeownership Support: Partnering with Homewise, Marisol and Armando navigated the homebuying process with confidence.
Tailored Resources: A $7,500 stipend gave them the boost they needed to secure their first home.
By the end of the program, Marisol and her family achieved something they never thought possible: a place to call their own.
This family’s newfound stability has transformed their lives, creating opportunities for their children and breaking the cycle of financial strain.
